FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I’m Jordan J. Herrera, an Air Force veteran, attorney, and former Assistant Attorney General who came up the hard way in a working-class Midwestern family. I learned early that real leadership is quiet resolve, showing up when it counts, listening first, and then doing the work to deliver results. I carried that ethic through nearly 16 years of service and into the courtroom, standing up for Missourians when the rules weren’t fair and the stakes were high. Now I’m running for Congress to bring that same steadiness to Missouri’s 5th: pragmatic solutions on cost of living, safer communities through common-sense policy, and a government that treats people with dignity. This is a youth-led, people-powered campaign because the future deserves a seat at the table—and because I believe our best days come when we widen the circle, build coalitions, and get things done.

To the Greater Kansas City AFL-CIO, Thank you for your trust, your confidence, and your endorsement of our campaign. As a disabled Air Force veteran, former union member, and someone who began his career in the trades, this endorsement carries tremendous meaning to me. More importantly, it represents something larger than any one campaign. It represents a shared belief that working people deserve leaders who will stand with them, fight for them, and never forget where they came from. Over the last several months, I have traveled countless miles across Missouri meeting with workers, union members, apprentices, retirees, teachers, healthcare professionals, firefighters, tradesmen, and working families. Again and again, I have heard the same message: people want an economy where one job is enough, where workers have a voice on the job, where unions are respected, and where hard work is rewarded with dignity and security. Your endorsement tells me that our campaign has earned the trust of those who understand these challenges better than anyone. I do not take that responsibility lightly. Whether we are fighting for fair wages, collective bargaining rights, safe jobsites, public education, affordable healthcare, or investments in the skilled trades, I look forward to standing shoulder-to-shoulder with organized labor in the years ahead. Together, we can build an economy that works for working families, strengthen the middle class, and ensure the next generation has more opportunity than the one before it. Thank you again for your faith in this campaign and for the work you do every day on behalf of Missouri’s workers and their families. I am honored to have your support, and I look forward to earning it every day between now and Election Day. In Solidarity,

On behalf of hundreds of thousands of working Missourians and their families, the Missouri American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations is proud to formally announce that you have received our endorsement for your campaign for CD 4 in the August 4, 2026, Primary Election. Protecting the rights of all workers, especially those with collective bargaining agreements, is necessary to provide upward mobility and quality of life for everyone in Missouri. We believe you share these same values, and we believe you will work tirelessly to protect the rights of working people and stand and fight for their best interests when the time comes. Whether it be standing up for working families in an affordability crisis, protecting the right to safe jobsites, or ensuring access to public education, we believe that we have a partner in you and can work together on these core values for years to come. Because you stand with us in these endeavors, the Union workers represented by the Missouri AFL-CIO will stand with you on Primary Day as we work to make Missouri work for everyone! Honored to receive the endorsement of Citizens’ Impeachment, an organization committed to defending democracy, constitutional accountability, and the rule of law. And calling for the Impeachment of Donald Trump on Day one in office. This movement is about courage, integrity, and standing up when our institutions and our freedoms are on the line. I will always fight to protect our democracy and ensure government works for the people, not the powerful. Thank you for your trust and support. Let’s keep building this movement together.

I am incredibly honored to receive the endorsement of NextGen Politics Missouri. Young people are not the future of this country. They are the right now of this country. They are organizing, leading, speaking out, and demanding a government that finally matches the urgency of the moment. This campaign has always been about building something bigger than politics as usual. It is about creating a movement where working people, students, veterans, families, and young leaders all have a seat at the table. To have the support of a new generation ready to fight for democracy, justice, opportunity, and real change means the world to me. Let’s build the future together.

I am proud to have earned the endorsement of 50501 Missouri. This movement was never built from the top down. It was built by everyday people who are tired of corruption, tired of being ignored, and ready to fight for a government that actually serves the people again. 50501 Missouri understands what this campaign is about: courage, community, accountability, and action. Real people standing shoulder to shoulder to defend democracy and build a future that belongs to all of us. I am honored to stand with them. Now let’s wake up the neighbors and get to work.

I am grateful and so happy to receive the endorsement of Northland Forward. Real change happens when communities come together at the local level, neighbor to neighbor, block by block, and conversation by conversation. That is exactly the kind of movement we are building across Missouri. Northland Forward understands that people are hungry for leadership rooted in integrity, accountability, and service. Not politics as usual. Not empty promises. Real work for real people. Thank you for believing in this campaign and in the future we can build together. Let’s keep moving Missouri forward.
